The KWO is not just an electricity producer. As a widely diversified company, we are actively involved in the furthering of pollution-free mobility, landscape maintenance and new, sustainable energy forms. 

Regional retention and world-wide networking are two central points. We foster a regular transfer of knowledge and know-how with ITAIPU, the world's largest hydroelectric power plant on the border of Brasil and Paraguay.                                             

Our focus for the development of sustainable energy is in the region Oberhasli where we have two projects in the areas of biogas and geothermics.  

We are especially active in the field of pollution-free mobility. We have our own electric cars and bikes and are also involved in their further development.
