Safety on the rivers

When the weather is hot, the rivers in the Grimsel and Susten area are very enticing. This can be dangerous as mountain rivers and streams can be unpredictable. Heavy rainfall or operations in the power plants can lead to a sudden increase in water levels.

We ask you to be more careful when near our rivers and to take notice of the warning signs along the river banks.
